Online Meeting

As a part of a generation who has grown up where technology has become a platform for everything we do it only makes sense that we become accustomed to using technology as a new way to communicate professionally. In the past five years many companies have started to use programs like Skype, FaceTime, and Google Hang out as a means of convenient communication. As a group we took time out of class to have a virtual meeting.

Although I have used other forms of this type of communication, like Skype and FaceTime, I have never used Google Hang Out and this is the form our group chose to use. I have no complaints. It was really easy to sign up for and we had no technical difficulties. I really liked the feature where the screen would focus on the person who was talking. It helped to be able to focus on one person at a time.

After having this meeting my eyes have been opened to using this form of communication professionally. My hope is to continue using something like this for more group projects when meeting together isn't an option. I'm so grateful for modern day technology that allows us to do things never dreamt of before.
